During their life, the Wright brothers tested their planes and vehicles over 250 times, and made more than 600 flights in the planes they designed. The very first flight occured in early 1900, and was piloted by Orville Wright. It flew over 120ft on the first try, drawing the eyes of the crowd that had arranged to witness the deed. They followed that first display with many others, often traveling and charging money for people to come watch them fly their craft, as seen in the video below.
